What is a mobile app and why do we need one?

A School Mobile App is a means of communication to all the stakeholders of your school community. It will complement your school website and provide your school with an avenue to contact targeted audience groups with pertinent information 24/7 via a mobile device.

How long does it take to create the app?

The turnaround time to get your custom app up and running is 30 to 45 days. Mobile Apps One is a licensed developer for Apple and Android operating systems.

Do we use the website or a smartphone to send messages?

You can use either.  A desktop can be used as well as laptops, Wi-Fi-enabled tablets and smart phones (if power is down).

Can we collect various fees through the app?

Yes, just as with the website, a link can be included to handle those types of processes.

What if a message only pertains to a specific audience?

There will be an overall contact list, but you can also set up subgroups to send messages to smaller groups as needed. It is similar to an Outlook email distribution list. This is an important feature, as it allows you to avoid sending irrelevant information to some audiences, and helps maintain the integrity of your contact list.

Is our contact list kept secure and confidential?

Absolutely, only those individuals chosen by the school principal will have access to the list.

How do I update our list of allowed users?

You can update your list at any time by accessing your database at our website.

Can a message be scheduled in advance to be delivered at a future time?

Yes, you can schedule a message to go out immediately or a time in the future.
